It's my hope that many of the common apps that Windows users are accustomed to (for example: CCleaner, ImgBurn) will remain free. I recall that the price of the app to develop software increased to $500 recently. Naturally, these developers wants a return on their money, those toolbars/other unwanted software bundled in many free (& some paid) apps, are chump change, that is, if the user even installs them. Smart users doesn't want this extra crap, that in many cases, can potentially be a security risk.
Hopefully, those who do participate in this program, being that they're getting paid, will stop bundling junk software in their apps.

Flash drives are at all time lows, 8GB ones costs what 4GB ones did 2 years ago. That & an internet connection are all that's needed to begin building a Portable Apps Flash drive. I urge all users to begin building one ASAP, mine is over a year old now. The really cool thing about this type of drive, is that it can be used on most any computer.
As always, be sure to backup your Portable Apps drive just as you normally would do Data backups. If one Flash drive goes bad, the backup can be applied to another of the same or larger size.
